Birthday...?

I forget my birthday almost every year. Someone mentions that it's in a week, and this is news to me, because I've completely forgotten. Someone mentions that it's in three days, and it's news to me, because I've completely forgotten again. Someone mentions that it's in three hours, and this is news to me because I forgot all about it.

Ever since I stopped having parties (which was a long time ago) birthdays have ceased to be meaningful. I never really want much for my birthday anyway, often nothing at all, so that part hardly matters, either. So, it isn't just my general forgetfulness, but also my apathy towards it that causes me to forget about it. I really couldn't care less...

One year closer to death... yay.
